The dark home screen setup is a popular design choice. People choose it because they want to put their phone in a dark environment and use it as little as possible. This can be done by using apps that are designed for night modes, such as smoke kwgt, and nova launcher. There are many different setups for home screens nowadays but this one is one of my favourites and I think it's worth giving it a try!

* KWGT KUSTOM WIDGET MAKER
kwgt widget-maker is a powerful customization tool that provides awesome looks to your home screens and lock screens. it consists of a widget editor to customize your designs or add different animations to your widgets, it also consists of a pro version that provides additional features, this app is available on the play store.
* SMOKE KWGT
Smoke is a kwgt widget pack that provides a range of widgets to change the look and feel of your home screen. It comes with dark widgets which gives a wonderful experience to your device and this app is developed by wigebox which costs around $1 which available on the play store

NOVA BACKUP
Nova Launcher Backup allows you to create backups of your Nova Launcher configuration, including the layout and widget settings. Backup files are created in zip format. You can restore these backups at any time in Nova Launcher Backup or by importing the backup file to another device with Nova Launcher installed.
